Wow Clayton-such a nice post. It is a real blessing that all Mom's sibs were able to share in the cteabrleion. I have to admit that I got a little misty-eyed when I looked over at church this morning to see Mom, Helen, Betty and your dad all sitting together. How Grandma/Grandpa C must have been smiling! Thank you for the kind words and for helping us celebrate. We love you too!

George L:
Your Mom was quite a lady and it has been nice to get to know here this week through you. Those lovely pictures and learning she grew up in Charleston SC brings to mind my naval son's in-laws from Charleston with that lovely low country accent.
That she was a genealogist is not surprising when one notes the names of her sons: George, John, William and James; names of early Calvert Co Breeden settlers, I believe.
I am from the Orange Co VA Breedens line (Richard aka Cross Breeding) and found you on Face Book when I was searching for Calvert Co MD Breedens. My DAR membership is with the Montpelier Chapter of the DAR. (Orange and Greene Counties VA)
To all of the family: Thanks for celebrating your mother/grandmother's pictures on Face Book so we could all get to know her and you.

I cannot quite conceive what it would be like to cruise with the Breeden Family, but I think "real hoot" might come close! Thanks for all that you taught your son George and for sharing him as a colleague with the Naval War College and fine mentor to our students!
